**Pull the stars from the skies**

**and let me wish on them all**

In the midst of our constant bickers and senseless banters....the boyfriend drops a line or two of honeyed thoughts that still make me flutter.....
"I think you look prettier now..."

:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
OH! And I found the EXACT same dress to the one below that was retailing at S$70/80!! The blogshop was selling at S$19!!! only!!!
So being an indecisive woman *snorts*, I asked N if I should buy..

And he still said NO! grrrrrrr

Sometimes, just sometimes, I like people to make that decision for me :p

TONIGHT! :):):)

But I ll miss Murphy baby boy :( packed his smelly Pooh into my luggage but he pulled it out again..... *_*

Fiscal Policy (how it works)

When I passed by the NEL yesterday evening to take my daily commute home, an almost translucent ad pasted on the doors of the platform caught my attention. It became clearer when the train arrived and the lights from it shone through the ad.

The "Distance-based fare" has been finalised!
What it means: poor commuters like yours truely will need to top up our ez-link cards less frequently and will see a 2.5% decrease in train and bus fares! wooohoo~!! I thought I could have some super savings to fund that Palaceland trip this month and that Notre Dame trip next month!! On closer look.....

....

.......

.....

with effect from 3 July!!!!

wells..new policies always take time to come into effect anyway...I guess I ll become richer if I wait patiently for another FOUR months.

And then today on the Yahoo!headlines, this title caught my attention.
"ERP Rates at 6 gantries to be revised from 3 May"

What it means: Slightly better off poor people with vroom vroom like yours truely's boyfriend will need to incur morrrrrre ERPs. almost IMMEDIATELY.

I think I can stop daydreaming about that non-existent super savings now. o_O

Love the Bliss (very random) :)

Wedding Bells
What comes to mind when you hear Y.A.T.C.H???

I see gorgeous white dresses and handsome tuxedos that change into swim wear, JUMP into the sea and frolic around within the net while the boat moves! :D I'm sure it'll be a blast :)

*Cant wait!!!*

Murphy - My daily love antidote
When I got home on Friday night and almost ready to jump into bed....I very much couldnt....

BECAUSE....

He found a spot right right smack in the middle beneath my feet and chose the sister's pillow to rest his head. Would you bear to chase him off your bed or pull that pillow away from him? awwwwwwwwww.....*heart melts*

And over to the lovely weekend.....there was a beastly wolvery sneaky shadow sighting on Saturday morning @ 830am!!!

haha! self amusement! I thought darling baby M looked like a monsterous creature on prowl with his huge shadow trotting alongside... *hehheh*

We had a slooooow and loooooong walk in the park that day... he either got tired or was genuinely interested in the aunties practising qi gong in the park :p

Cha Cha Cha for Dang Dang Dang Dang

It's been 15 months since the last full force. Not quite yet this time round though. Still short of the other Ms Lee who aptly forgot she was flying to Phuket last night o_O

Been sucha long break we couldnt really recall when was the actual LAST one. There was a TCC/clarke quay/waruku/pan pac/office bar memory but WHICH was the last?? we stopped trying to prove how old we are getting :)

The baby's a good gauge. Cos we have no impression of her growing up months. So yeah. 15 months that is. And we concluded there :)

The almost full honeybunch of peepos who roughed out those years with me :) These.BEAUTIFUL.people. They got even more beautiful after leaving the sacred stepping stone :) And life's treating them well! How's life been treating you so far??

We thought they were a good match then :) height, looks, personality et all. But they all found true love! :) Congrats on getting hitched babe! :) Oh yeah, those hoegardens were going for 1-for-1!!!! Quick go HAPPY HOUR! (after 9pm even!!)
the babe and I, after a nan kan pic earlier. Chris: " Shwu!! y u laugh until so nan kan??!!!" o_O

She joined for bites and drinks after her long day at work :)
The early birds. That's how well our current rice bowl treats us :)

Mexican food for the night. All dishes taste about the same.. we stopped eating after a while, cos dou mei she me how chi de!!" heehee
Joke of the night: Why are people getting hitched on 101010???
Answer: Because dang dang dang dang (wedding music) :p
Have a great weekend peeps! N&I are going for some taitaihood training laters! whahahaa!

Starglazed <^>^<^>

Boring black office attire? (pardon the dirty mirror! I suspect Murphy licked it! Got it cleaned thereafter..)

Spruce it up with a starglazed drape! :):):) Got it with Dia's nod of approval.. :)

It's warm and fuzzy and good for substituting some furball hugs in the cold :):) Not for the sunny singapore now though. So I thought I might bring it to Palaceland for its virgin use! :) Gona spruce up those photos! heh! Besides, it also hides those fatass hips soo WELL! :) *loves*

And now, counting down to the end of the day where I ll be meeting some of my favoritest people for wine and dine :) cant hang out too late tho... cos I think daddy C gotta go home to look after baby V! haha! Of course I also wana go home hug my baby M before the busy weekend comes and engulfs my life away!! :) :) Mahjong! BBQ! Lady gaga! Facial! Packing! Dog farm daddy N?

Chips and Cheeze (Midweek Chillax)

Cancelled a trick or treat session at the last minute, pretending to be a busy bee. Truth was, we celebrated F's birthday in the midweek.. :D

At F.I.S.H by Fish&Co. Prices are lower than Fish&Co. Menu offers lamb, steak, chicken (and pasta) apart from sea creatures. Serving is also smaller. BUT just nice to be called dinner. Old people dont need a lot of energy! :p

The default sides are grilled tomatos and potatos *wince*. So you better get it changed when you place your orders. But the F.I.S.H manager was kind enough to offer us a side plate of fries cos we were too late in asking for a change in sides *scores brownie points already!* :):)

I was wearing that white drape over my skin-fitting sphag top the whole day. The hot weather now just doesnt suit fat souls :( :(

Still, cant resist these lovely cheeze cakes :)

Say Che3ze for round two. Be there early! Cheesecakes deplete verrrrrrrrrrrry fast over there! They have the largest cheesecake variety! MY.LYCHEE.flavoured cheesecake. Mad loves!
Another one to make myself drool when I reread this lychee cheese love :) On top of that, they also have LULIAN cheesecake (ok! cant help it! the waitress kept pronouncing it tt way!)
Note to self: Dont ever order the rocky mountain! Texture as named.

And a wee bit of shopping :) :) Further confirms the fact that I HATE shopping with the bf *hrmphf*
I seem to have a problem with my underwear. They appear rubber band tight and pushed out some spill overs. very obvious in above tight dress! :( I need a panty guru. Either that, or I just need to lose some weight :( :(

Expectation gaps

In the midst of planning....I was told that in April and May, you do not need a jacket, at least during the warm daytime. But you may need a hat and sunglasses to protect against the UV rays.

Embrace beautiful spring! :)

I was all prepared to pack some cooling sundresses and shorts into the luggage. Until I decided to google for the temperature in degree celcius.

It says:
High: 15 degree
Low: 6.7 degree

:} brrrr

Now define WARM.

We ve got the address added to favorites in our GPS :) and this is the third set of frens whom we brought along this time round :) and we are loving it!
Earlier on Sat, *finally*, a round of Kluncheon with the girls! But the food standard has dropped so much! :( we got hungry by 4pm and had a linner (lunch, dinner) at the marmalade's pantry. They served breakfast items at 4pm too! So if u r in need of an egg/sausage/bacon fixie....u know where to go :)
Counting down - 10 Days - !!!!!

Cheesy Craves

A normal day ends at 530pm for me. And I go home to a furball who waits and wags at the door, and fights to get my attention for a scoop up *sooo cute!*

Millions of hugss and smooches after, he will feel LOVED and ask to be put down. Then he ll race to his *current favorite* toy and prompt u to play fetch with him. Problem is, he doesnt return with the toy. So u ll get just as pant-y playing fetch for 30 minutes with him! Cos u have to run as much as he does! :)

Got around to fixing a cheesy crave last night after our round of fetch :D hanging out with the collics of N brought new tastes to my buds :D they had a mix of a cheese cum roe party where u eat everything with wine..

So I got hooked on some cheesy tastes and got myself a Brie fix last night :) But the white wine that we got was left in N's home... So it went by itself.. still not as bad :) it did good to my taste buds :)

TGIF folks!! Got lots lined up this weekend! The countdown starts now! :D

Midweek Nostalgia

The mafia I haven seen for ONE day ^_^

We had an impromptu bier date on Monday evening by the Harbour. Queen and Mangosteen was featured in the papers for having one of the best fish and chips :)
They served BIER on the menu. Somehow BIER tastes better than BEER! :) So we had to try. The tallest glass :)

The featured fish and chips with CURRY tartar! This serving was on the Nibbles menu. But served me quite well for dinner :)

Some beef, sour cream and chips. Beef was HOT! But good to go with biers :)
Apart from the hot and humid weather, the cafe bistro style restaurant offers a good venue for chillax by the river/harbour with a menu of nibbles to go along with your biers. :) that is, if u dont mind being smelly and sticky on sucha date night! ^_^ alternatively, u can choose to sit in the comfort of the aircon. But noone else was doing that! :D

Our Story - The Proposal

Still brings a smile to my lips everytime I think about it :) It happened in May 2009. We have built such a good friendship with the Miyashitas by then, and they were returning to Japan in June 2009. We wanted to bring them on a tour around SEA as much as we could.

So everything was perfectly normal when we decided to book the tickets to Batam :)

*you gave me everything when you gave your heart to me*

As usual, we bought some wine from the Duty Free. Every day is celebration day when we are out with the Japs :)

Spent the 1st day at some shopping mall. Mari and I settled down in a nail parlour to do our manis and pedis while the men went for their massage. It was very cheap. So I opted for some acrylic extensions and 3D art :) (didnt know this was going to be the perfect finger setting for the ring that going to arrive!)
N suggested getting some wine glasses (telltale #1 - that was going to be our celebration glasses after the proposal) for our new home since things were cheap there. I thought it was perfectly normal cos we need wine glasses next time when we host people in our house :)
So he did some homework in the mall while I was doing my nails and brought me to choose 4 different colors for the glasses :)

*so you could give me wings to fly, catch me if I fall*

All of us booked a spa massage in the hotel for the 2nd night except him. Nothing unusual. He hates massages. (telltale #2 - actually he wanted time to get the logistics going and maybe to practise his piano piece and speech! :p)
On the 2nd day morning, he had an unusual tummy ache though. It started from the hotel room and continued into the breakfast floor. So he left me inside the restaurant while he went to take a poop. When he was back, he told me he talked to the room service manager (telltale #3 - actually he went to ask him to buy flowers) to get some towel/shower/carpet changed (i vaguely remember he was already pointing to some tinnnny flaws inside our room. It's sooo insignificant, I cant even remember now :p)
When evening came, and we went down for our massages, Mari and Atsu were already in their massage room. Mari popped out of her room to say hi (weirdly), wrapped only in a towel (telltale #4 - the flowers arrived and were sent to the Miyashita's room, so she had to pass him their access card)
After the massage, we went out for dinner or something. And when we stepped back into the lobby, Atsushi made a comment about the wonderful band in hotel bar. So when we stepped into the lift, he said "I want to sit in the bar and drink beer and listen to music. Shwu Ling, will you go??" Of course I said YES!!! The trip's all about them remember? (telltale #5 - Atsu made extra effort to ask us to join... that was going to be the proposal venue)
We freshened up and went down. When the Miyashitas came down, they were holding their JVC camcorder. They said "We brought along to this trip but had no chance to use it. So we brought it down. We will use it here." Perfectly normal! They need to capture as many vids as possible before they return to homeland for good! (telltale #6 - that camcorder was going to record down my proposal!)

N has always been a musician and always been drawn to grand pianos. So there was one in the bar and the band was taking a breather. He said he wanted to play the piano and went to ask for permission. Also verrrry normal! cos he has played on several grands in public before... the Miyashitas whipped out their camcorder that verrrry instant and offered to take down a vid! N wanted me to go sit beside him cos he "shy". I din want to, but the Miyashitas urged me on. So ok lor...

I'm not very into songs and lyrics and I didnt know what he was singing anyway. But I thought I heard "flowers wrapped in fancy paper and the ring on my fingers....."

He finished the whole piece. And kept asking the Miyashitas if the camera was still rolling. We got up and he asked me to go and drink water (from our table). *dont ask me what's with the drinking water...he just had to turn my attention away for a split second*

When I turned around the next moment.....

*there's nothing in the world I need when I have you here beside me.. i got my flowers wrapped in fancy paper, my man on his knees and the ring around my fingers*

Burst into joyous tears and of course said YES! I'd been waiting ever since we got our flat in April! But just didnt think it'd come that soon!

Turned out the trip had been planned for me instead :) and my man had been scouring for the perfect ring with his collics and Mari for the past weeks! But they were good secret keepers :) Charmaine almost died withholding the truth while we were out for dinner one day and we bumped into YY. YY asked about my flat and whether N proposed already or not, and I showed her my 10 bare fingers. Char was sitting right across, painfully knowing and keeping the secret :p

We went back to our room for a quieter celebration, with what else but our very own wine and wine glasses :) and our best couple friends :)

N says it's very easy to propose when u have a stupid gf :p all the above telltale signs only made sense to me on hindsight :) :)

I hope you'd have as much joy reading it as I had penning it :) I want to pen down such lovely moments for old age remembrance :)

I ve put the videostream of our proposal song right below this blog :) Your Love :)

Easter :)

One of the BEST BBQ menus I ve come across so far. Bringing barbeque to a whole new level :)
The shishamo fishes..
Honeyed pork ribs!
There was also a mahjong (^_^), cambodian salad, airflown French/Aussie muffins and friands, red wine and ice cream.
Round 2 into the night was a more normal BBQ hosted by N's ex-collic's bf's place :)
I LOVE BARBEQUES :) :)

Loanshark Experience

I seriously resolved to finish up my report within the morning. But WTF. HSBC just called to CHASE (Again???!!!) for the meagre S$85 bucks that I owed them from the last statement.

I admit it was an overlook on my part. I slotted in the silver card (Citi) instead of the gold card (HSBC) into the AXS feeder when I made payment for that S$85. You would agree with me. It certainly isnt a costly mistake. So I couldnt justify the intensive debt hounding methods employed by the bank.

I only realised the blunder when I saw the late charge of S$50!!! and interest charge of S$3.14 on the S$85 that I did not pay the previous month. Obviously, I had to call up to ask for a waiver! I wasnt feeling pissed then, cos it was my fault that I defaulted on the payment. The bank had EVERY right to charge me a finance charge. So with a light heart, I called up.

The first thing that irked me slightly was the painfully long session I had to go through with the automated answering machine. They had just revamped and improved their call centre and invited customers to have a pleasurable experience as they take us through further into the call ie to leisurely enjoy listening to the retardedly slow robot when all you want to do is to talk to some living thing and get her to waive the charges.

*take note that when you punch the wrong number, you go back to the beginning of the ride again, and try your luck again* I spent much time listening to their slow and deliberate enunciation of my existing card balance for E.V.E.R.Y HSBC card that I have (that's at least 3) upon punching the number for "credit card"

Somehow, by trial and error, I survived the whole robot process and eventually managed to press my way until I heard the magic words "for finance charges waiver, please press X". I pressed. and the kind robot replied "Thank you. We will be sending you an sms to confirm if the request is successful" *I can picture the HSBC robot smiling when it said that*

That was on Thursday, 1 April 2010. The bill bearing the late finance charge is only due on 13th April (and it is only S$285). I happily thought I could wait for the positive sms reply before paying my bill.

But what happens these few days really disgusts and pissed me off BIG TIME!!!

7 April 934am - received an sms like this "HSBC: Your card account remains unpaid. Pls arrange for immediate payment. Kindly ignore if already paid." - I was major pissed off. Cos I was expecting a positive SMS reply after my communique with Mr Robot.

7 April evening - (by then, i have already been a good citizen/debtor and paid the full sum after office hours) received a letter from HSBC (we open our mailbox DAILY). A subtle threat. I was reminded that there exists a credit bureau who tracks my credibility and who therefore may affect my future borrowing powers. - Shouldnt they allow a reasonable reaction time for recipients of the letter they sent out 2 days ago before they send out the SMS that morning????!!!!

8 April 1014am - received a call from HSBC chasing for the payment AGAIN!?

WHAT THE FUCK HSBC!

I owe you ALOT of MONEY AH?????!!!!

For goodness sake, it is ONLY S$85!!!! Do you have to hound me like a loanshark?!!!

2nd thing tt pissed me off was the lousy customer service. I told the lady who called me that I already paid after 5pm yesterday, that I had asked for a waiver and if she is able to process it. She told me the waiver normally takes a week to process. So I kindly informed her that I talked to the robot on the 1st (which is exactly ONE week ago). So she told me to call up the customer service. WTF. On top of being a bloody loan shark you cant even get your customer services right.

I am going cancel that bloody card right this moment.

FUCK!

Travelling alone

I always thought hotel rooms were scary until I had to travel on my own. Asked around those who had to travel and sleep alone how they conquered their fears. Even so, I felt like bursting into little girl's tears when I 1st boarded the plane by myself, wishing with everything that either my dear or my ma was with me. But I was already a grown up, and grown ups dont make a scene at the airport ^_^

I never dared to close the bathroom door. The furthest I went is the shower curtains.

I ll sleep in the centre of the bed. Sprawled like a starfish, with the blankets. Never liked to back face nothingness. It used to be the same at home when I was little. I d put a bolster behind my back if I sleep sideways. N said it was rude cos I always back face him as well :p

I ll keep the light furthest from me on. Usually it's the bathroom/lobby lights. Never liked to zzz in darkness in a foreign room. I used to keep MOST lights on.

I ll check all nooks and corners of a room before I settle down. For anything....surprising!? toilets, cupboards, drawers... and hopefully the bed goes all the way to the ground (have u read some of the Singapore horror stories by Russell Lee? I think I read too much of his crap..) :p

People do grow up and adapt to their environment. I m glad I ve adapted to the hotel environment :) Will be on my own for 3 days in Palaceland before my prince come find me :)

Now I just need to get that direction sense right so I could make my way back to the hotel :p Shouldnt be too difficult. Right? :p (streetsmartness is quite difficult to change leh...)

Random Amusement
Q: What is the opposite of cock (the male chicken)
A (from a 9 year old): Cheebye

*OMG freaking funny!!!*

Sunny Hangout (Down Under V)

The last bit. We snoozed for 2 hour on this beautiful day ^_^ plans for a salmon and poached egg brekkie plus a cuppa thwarted. Headed straight to the harbour for a harbour tour and ferry ride.

THEN to the famous city beach - BONDI beach! Not even our most famous Sentosa beaches can match up to this :(

Soft fine sandy beaches and clear blue waters. Crowded but personal space not compromised :) And yes! trunky hunks and bikini babes littered the beaches! The women go topless too!
Watch them play and ride the waves! surfboarding is definitely more fun with the larger waves riding in for several metres across the shallow waters. No fear of drowning into the deep ocean! :)

We took a stroll barefooted.. and the water was freeeeezing cold despite the sunny weather!! We were not the most appropriately dressed.. but well... foreigners always get away ;p
A beach resort with an open swimming pool by the edge
even algaes here look beautiful... I was actually shooting the dog right below.. :)
the cool weather undermined the harmful rays of the sun while we were there..we were not sunscreened and got a lil burnt after the walk. So sunscreen is a must!
Luncheon was done along the streets across Bondi beach.. we settled for the Bavarian Bier Cafe!
My Wagyu beef burger. Wagyu is so widely used over there but is like one of the finest grades of elite beef in Singapore. cant comment on the meat though, cos am no food connoisseur! :)
Cher's chicken snitzel. It's like Singapore's chicken chop but abit drier. Not as FAT!! :) potatoes there are seemingly nicer and crunchier too! :D
And since we were at a bier (Beer) cafe... and I happened to see a "Ladies' Bier" section on the menu.... and there was a LYCHEE bier (cant express thee unfound love for lychee anything), had to order this!
It came in a very ladylike presentation too. like the Martinis :)
Cher and our lychee bier...
me and our lychee bier..
we shared one. cos who?! (other than Jappos) drink bier in the bright daylight?! :)
Ladies' Bier verdict: MUST TRY! cos it's german beer and very easy to swallow. the one I had was abit sweet too :p Likey!
We took a cool and slow lunch....and u know what?! Time miscalculation! I almost couldnt make it back home!! flight was at 425pm and I only hopped onto the cab from Cher's at 340pm! Got scolded when I checked in *of course* and ran all the way to the airplane O_o
