NEW house!!!
SAME dog!! Still the same ole greedy Murphy! :D

And the SAME lazy boys!
Sucha sweet sight...
They really do know how to make mummy's heart melt..

N's down and out from a knee injury and doctor just gave him a ONE MONTH MC on top of his one week's!!! So he has been excused from any form of vigorous household chores but has been diligently chauffeuring murphy and (mostly) me around ;)

Thank you dear dear!
Thank you for the Birdie nest too! hee ;)

Easter 2011

It was an all food, all play plus all work weekend leading all the way from Thursday night right through Sunday! I wonder where we found the time to do all of the above!
An impromptu overnight MJ got us down and out by Sat...yet we still had to trudge our ass to Nigelrene Loft by 2pm for the laundry system showcase + we were expecting another entourage of guests at our new place before the Crab feast that night. Little wonder how we found the energy to do another round of MJ on the same night z.z The coffee machine s coffee was POWER and super nice!

Dear dear, I also want one, please?

Thurs evening at Brussel Sprouts. A tall glass to end the short week :) Fries are free flow if you order a platter of mussels!
We had a platter of quirky items with weird names. and so it seems not so weird afterall!
My archilles heels ;p The Man cant fathom why the love for chicken wings - not enough meat!
Gave SG clams a first and last chance.

Aud and Ben brought over the famous Tiong Bahru chwee kueh. Just in time for the starved N&I at Nigelrene Loft. We had no time to go out for lunch before 230pm.
And a lot more sinful food outings over the weekend that had no chance to be photographed, mainly cos we were too tired and hungry zz_zz" heh... New home + new hobby makes one tired!

Hinoki Luncheon!
We got the prime seat and watched masterchef lawrence display his culinery skills right in front of us! N was sooooo inspired to eat Jap after starting on his HK drama serial on some Jap chefs O_o"

Starters was tofu with century egg puree, topped with caviar....Ohhhh laaalaa!

All torched. Gives a crisp outer skin before you savour into the succulency of the fresh flesh.

Cod fish was lovingly topped with spicy roe and a pickle for you to chew on

Foie gras sushi! Despite my restraints towards eating anything inhumane, and foie gras is one of them, this piece of sushi made me change my mind towards foie gras. It simply melts in your mouth...

We didnt want any prawns cos N is allergic.. but The Chef suggested we have some tempura, so we did! And N caved in to the prawns despite his allergy ;p

Was almost very full after the unagi rice....but there was still space for something exotic. No sea urchins on Monday :( We got the oysters instead! If you are not fans of oysters, this wouldnt appeal to you. N&I usually order or lua without or (oysters), so you can deduce why there is no verdict for this dish ;p
Ended with an icecream! Luckily! Had to wash away the oyster smell that lingered in our mouth! ;p

And a prelude of our working bit of the weekend..

And our lovely view :) We ve been guilty of taking one too many breaks in between chores to enjoy this! :D explains why we were there every day over the weekend! ;p

Nigelrene Loft

Hmmm.... I kinda just came up with the name for Our Home. Nigel + Irene (that was the name my family gave me but I never really used it). Sounds cheesy though. But better than Nigling, which sounds like niggling? hmmmmmm... Haven consulted my co-owner yet though, but the name s for my blog's purpose, dont think he d mind ;)

18 April 2011 (Monday)

The boss gave me a 1/2 day off to settle Our Home :) I checked in at Parc Lumiere at 2pm with my bag of apples ;) Being a noob at pan-dan ness and the traditional rituals to follow, yet not willing to blindly do what has been told by the elders, but yet want to have the good and positive energy flow into Nigelrene Loft...

I found out that the Apples (Ping Guo) means safety and peace :D So there! I went to buy apples for the safety and peace for Our Home!

Check out our HUGEASS exhibitionistic toilet window! hweee-uuuu-hweeee! Collic says I can invite her over for a shower - she will wear a bikini and scare off all potential teekopeks, so we can bathe in ease next time. Haha. I think we ll still do up the blinds.
What we did while the entourage was outside mingling around, seeing planes take off and breathing in the fresh air from our balcony :)

DEFECTS hunting!
We did a dinner thereafter to discuss the Guo Da Li. That's another things settled off our back :)

We ll be back at The Nigelrene Loft this weekend! Murphy will be there to check out his new home too! :):)

LASIK: Post Op

Having almost a perfect vision now ;) The few days post surgery were the darkest moments of my life (read: hibernating in dark rooms and shades), in the good sense! :D

I donated specky away at the clinic. Hopefully the 750, 800 could be of use to someone else as *erhemz* shortsighted as me. Can you believe it? It's 6/6 now! and the feeling's fabulous!
But nothing quite beat the *exasperated I have nothing to do!* feeling over the healing days. I finally realised the importance of teevees and computers in our lives! Thank God for LADIO invention!! I had my trusty Ipod music blasting beside me the whole time whilst I drift off and woke up from slumber to drop the antibioticss.

My first 4 days were spent
LIKE THAT
Awwwww....what can I do without my little angle? He was curious about mummy's indoor shades and was just beside me the whole time! I ve got nothing to complain already!

And LOOK what I see when I get up from bed?
PERFECT (yes! 6/6) view of The Dog!

No more scrambling of the specky! Mur doesnt get woken up in the process!

And I get to SEE the cutests moments! awwwwwwwwwwwww... he was doing his usual cutie doggy stretch in his sleep....

well... I did have some fun on Day 5 though...
1 week no gym, no pilates, no yoga, no run....I kinda asked for permission to climb trees and do flying fox and Doctor was a-okay! :D

So there I was! Flying-foxing across the Bedok Reservoir!
With a teeny weeny bit of secret: Guess where I put my 2-hourly eyedrops?!
In the cleavage!!! pocket of the sports bra :D

It's been 13 days post op and I AM LOVING IT!!

Midnight Horrors

I once woke up in the middle of the night because something was troubling me. It was the existence of a 'presence' in the room. Somehow in my deep slumber, I had a weird feeling and I woke up to see a dark shadow on the ceiling above me. I scrambled for the specs that were placed beside my bedside so I could catch a clearer glimpse of 'the shadow'. And YES! There it was!!! A freaking.....

LIZARD!!!!!

not ghost laaar...

Dont ask me why The Lizard's presence could creep its way into and disturb my sleep. But it was there, right above my head and cuddled in a corner of the ceiling! And had it decided to leap down to its death while I was scrambling for my specs, I would have decided to leap off to my mock death as well. There had also been instances where I almost stepped on the disgusting roaches, that appear as dark (maybe water) blotches on the floor, in my barefoot while I tried to find my way to the bathroom in the night. They remain harmless until you see the water blotches scramble at lightning speed! O_o" Then there was another instance where I was freaked out by the shadow of the near-human size Valentine's piggy that N got for me - I thought that a 'being' was watching me from the window! Oh, how I curse and swear at myself for not taking good care of the eyes when I was younger....

But now that technology has become so advanced, and so many friends around me have gone to get back their perfect vision, I have decided to join in the crowd to prevent the above life-threatening incidences from happening again! :D

LASIK!!

With Doc Lee H.M. The story to my selection of eye surgeon would be another classic ;p

Now I cant wait for the convenience it ll bring to our tong siao mahjongs, sleepovers, dive trips, overseas trips - no more tired eyes and no more peeling out of contact lenses from the heavy water pressure from 40m under the water! Imagine that! :)
