~LOVES of my life~

So titled because I could not get rid of D & my photos when I made this collage.

Was scrolling through the PICASA photos when I found these TOTALLY unfamiliar photos which we took last year or the year before. It was just sitting itself in a secret folder which I have not touched..*wonders how it got there* I cant even remember that we took those photos but it was one of the few corkanadan times we had with his cameo MAC because we were soooooo amazed with the phototaking function... Somehow I must have clicked on all the photos in the folder, so it remained clicked when I want to do a collage for my growing baby boy :)

Cant unclick them despite after several "SHIFT" + select MURPHY pictures, so they shall stay :) And thus the title :) :)

Murph was stinking after 2 days @ my house, so we decided to bring him to his bath. That's him in his bag on 2 occasions. One - when we first brought him home. Second - when we brought him home after his shower. The cute little boy got soooo tired after his bath that he slept throughout the ride. that's him, sticking his head out of the bag, sleeping! HAhA. And that's me cudling him close to my face to show him my LOVE. I try to kiss him and hold him close to me frequently so that he ll know that i love him, although I also scold him the harshest at home, second only to the D

The D is soooo soooo fierce to him tt the little boy seems a little afraid of him!
Just yesterday, D came over my place to help 'reboot' murphy as i always had trouble combing him, putting eye drops into his eyes and putting tear stain remover on his face.

Yesterday D came over and helped me with the chores. He gripped Murph very firmly and scolded him in his loud booming voice whenever he squirmed. we managed to complete the chores although it took quite some effort. It was, however, made easier with D's help in the scoldings. We gave him a treat after tt :)

So today, I had no problem handling him alone. Just had a little trouble putting eye drops to his eyes as he is scared, so i tried to reassure him once in a while by petting him and holding him close to me...took some effort but it is better than previous times. Also tried cutting his nails today and accomplished 10 hind leg nails in..... 15 MINUTES!!!!

BECAUSE HE KEPT SQUIRMING!!!!!

Now, D is coming by tomorrow to 'boot' him up.. haha!

Thats our little baby for you..

He s sick now and sneezing... Hope u get well soon boy~

2nd day of Parenthood

The body was at work but the heart was aching for the little boy today... it makes me feel as if i have stepped into parenthood and the heart is aching to see the baby....

Would he be scared?
Does he have enuff water in his bottle?
Is there anyone to clean his poo poo?
What if he cries and there s noone to sayang him??

Made a lot of calls to coordinate the logistics of cleaning his wee pan, picking up his shit, making meals for him. Had to mobilise the D to go my house to feed him even!

Just the thought of the little face makes me melt...and want to be by his side every minute of the day...

Last night, some time after I tucked myself into bed, was woken up by a little bark. I got up and peeped at him to make sure he was ok. Further into the night, he barked again, and whimpered (i think tts a cry...not sure how to identify yet... am learning). But I left him alone. Want him to be an independent boy.. Nonetheless, still got out of my bed and peeped at him to make sure he was ok. Somewhere into the night, or was it early in the morning, I found him at a little corner, sleeping with his teddy bear.

He had pushed the bed away to get closer to his teddy bear.. *sweet* and i see more ~~$$~~ on his toys already...

Still a baby, he is what i teach him to be... so i shall remain stern no matter how pitiful his puppy dog eyes look..

He s peeping at me now as i type this entry in the living room.. i hope he s learnt his mistake.. earlier on when i opened the door of his cage, he stepped out. Not wanting him to step out of his home unnecessarily without approval, i pushed him back. but he tried several times and finally, i locked him up to punish him for it... it may seem like a harmless act (of stepping out), but every little acts count... want to groom a well behaved boy :) I ll work hard!! and tts y i feel like a mummy already!! :)
Now i think he knows he has done something wrong because he as secretly moved to the corner of his cage tt can see me and has been peeping at me for the past 15 min while i type this... i ve been peeping at him too! tts y i know... but i do it with the face straight at my computer and eyes slanted to the side. He does it with the whole face facing me! HAHA!! silly boy...

I need to find a 9-5 job soon!! want to keep him company!!!

Oh and by the way...

the parents are having their holidays and are coming back next Sunday...

*what should I tell the mama*????

Been having a mixed happy yet guilty feeling since Saturday...

oh DEAR!

Diving Halt

The plans for the trips and gadgets for the year have been put to a halt because...

I just blew S$3k away from my piggy bank!!!!

Here is what cost me the bomb,

Baby Roxie lying inside his bag..

here s me and him. See how tiny he is?
His humble little house.. The cage alone costs 300++ bucks! Plus the lucky boy gets his own bed and soft toy to accompany him to sleep..
here s a close up of the bed and the little blue toy which i painstakingly chose.. chose a blue one for the boy....
Roxie with butt in the bed and head on the pee pan... he s learnt to pee on the pee pan!! :)

So this little one cost me a whopping S$3k, ALL IN A DAY!! ok.. make it two days!

After a run and blade session on Saturday, N came over to my house to rest... just as I was lying on my bed and woke up from the nap at 530pm, i mumbled .. "how nice would it be if i had a dog to reach up to my bed on his front paws and wake me up...."

And N went... "ok....lets go to Simei for dinner and look at dogs okay???" (he s been bringing me to the pet safari in Vivo but everytime i was tempted to buy one, i remember mummy's warning.. :(

And so on the fateful saturday evening... we went for a good Jap dinner and popped by the Pet safari to LOOK AT doggies.... I could only LOOK at and ADMIRE doggies because mummy DOESNT allow us to keep dogs.. She is even afraid of them...

There, we were just lookin at the glass panes and N was chatting to the owner. The next thing I know, the owner brought him out for me to carry. And the next thing that happened, i looked at N with supposed puppy dog eyes to ask if I could bring him home.... So he did not give me a positive answer. Neither did he give a negative one either.

And the Next Next thing i know, I was forking out 200 bucks as deposit, and then i was making some rounds in the shop to gather the necessities for the new addition to our house. The man told me they d make deliveries some time mid week, and i could collect him on Friday so tt he could spend the weekend with me. But we were too excited already and N s car seems big enuff to house those purchasesss. So we lugged home mannnnnnnny packs of purchases on Sat night, and N, Pinky & I spent the whole night setting up his home as well as to clear a cupboard space for his thingsssss....

Once space was cleared and home set up, it was already 2+ am in the morning when i got to bed excitedly, knowing that i ll be bringing the boy home on Sunday :) :)

After badminton with the pros, brought Xian along to collect him. We ve been thinking of a name for the boy for the whole night and the whole morning. we even contemplated on VOLVO because a VOLVO blocked N s car this noon and he could not drive out..

But VOLVO doesn seem like a good name.. we had some fun trying to think of a name for the boy before we decided on ROXIE during lunch, right before we stepped into Pet Safari to collect him.

Name choosing is reallllly tough!!! So i ll remember to jot down some good names in my little note book the next time :)

We spent the other half of today watchin him in playing and settling himself in his home.. and found him peeing on the pee pan.

He s now asleep and will wake up in another 2 hours... shall get some work done and play with him later : ) : )

Now my dive comp and snorkel will have to wait.......what unexpected outcome... haha!

Cant just quit without a job now cos i have an extra commitment @ home..

LOVING ROXIE TO BITS

Plans for 2008

Travel plans have been made for the remaining of 2008 after my open waters :)

June 20 weekend: advance @ Dayang
July : Bintan (new dive site)
End July: Leisure dive @ dayang to accompany the je-pun collic and wifey (Je-pun = Japan and I saw this word in MALAYSIA!!!!)
Nov/Dec : SIPADAN!!

The above trips are going to materialise *i hope*

At least for the June, end July and Nov/Dec one. Too bad the new khakis couldn make it this June due to heavy work commitment. He has to do a slide presentation for 24th June and N has KINDLY volunteered me to help with those slides while we go on tt 21 June trip. But i dun know Je-pun. So too bad. will have to make it a double trip..

Bintan may b a lil difficult since it is a new site, recently discovered by divers. Better to let the experiences ones go find out where the strong currents are, what kind of danger zones lurk at the sea bed..

But the highlight of the year will be SIPADAN!! The dream site which has pushed me to want to get my advance license asap, despite the hefty cost... *bleah*

Was first introduced to this site by a colleague who was a already a frequent diver when I met her on job last year. Wasn really keen on this particular sport then.. and so i didn pay much attention to it. It was only until i personally experienced the waters and saw a harmless photograph of the beach huts built on the waters and surrounded by the serene blue sea which was hanging by the wall outside the classroom, that I really decided to make the destination my aim of the year :)

It is said that there are and abundance of turtles, nemos, baracudas etc etc and SHARKS!! (if u r lucky). Basically, the fishes there swim in schools so the sight will be superderful..

So our recent fave dating spots will be:

1) PARADIZ centre, there are 2 dive shops there
2) libraries, we refuse to spend at least 70 bucks to get one book on fishes
3) islands, ferries, sand, sea

And the cost of this hobby is heavy.

so far the things on my shopping list from my trip to PARADIZ earlier:

1) Dive com (~S$450)
2) Snorket (~ $37)
3) Dive stick to poke the ground and stabilise the buoyancy + bright orange hand loop (~$28 + 8)

Already bought:
1) the own mask + headstrap(~$87)
2) small torch (~$45)

by the lure of the color. They are pink!!! :)

Trip costs:
1) Basic license ($560 + 20 + 40)
2) Advance lic ($460)
3) SIPADAN (~1.5k)

Plumetting .....

weight check from 2005 till date:

44 --> 45 --> 45.5 --> 45.6 --> 45.7 --> This was the weight gain since I joined audit since graduation, which heightened to a peak of near 46 kg, which is a little too much for my build. It would have been the perfect weight if the fats could settle themself a little bit more evenly. so for me, the most acceptable weight for a good curve is around 44.5. So i grew a lil fatter after starting to date N, accumulated from our best pasttime, movie, often after a hearty meal. You would have seen the amount we ate from past blogs, and it always consist of a full meal each + a sharing plate. N says i eat a lot for a lady, and my appetite just grew monsterous as we continue dating. We used to share a main course + a side dish during our earlier months. HAHA. never did he know that the girl he thought was tiny and demure could have sucha huuuuuuge appetite!!! :) :)

and so, the weight continued to rise to my shock and horror. And so, we started an exercising regime. He would come Hougang to jog with me. Then it progressed to ECP, where i started running a little bit longer - average dist clocked was around 5km each jog. thereafter, i jioed the girls for a 10km run. That was late last year...

For the full year in 2008, i have nothing much to brag about. no achievements to talk about, except mayb for that appreciation award which rewarded me with a S$100 taka shopping voucher. And that is because i clocked in work hours till wee morning EVERYDAY, worked 7 days a week. Even after the team pulled out, i had an assistant with me every week. So the baton for those assistants gets passed around as they do a 2-3 week shift rotation for me, while for me, I stayed on continuously for the tormentous months while the assistants kept changing. So, i have been working past 12am since Feb. And every sat and Sun for Mar - beg of May at least...

And here s the plumet that rocketed downwards:

45.7 --> 44.5 --> 44 --> 43.4 --> 43 --> 42.9 --> 42.4

First realised i was dipping downscale when everyone in office commented on how thin i looked... that was in end April. And the last weight was taken this morning... A surprising drop though, considering the humongous meals i had these 2 weekends and yesterday:

2 weekends ago : Pulau Dayang Dive Site
Full servings of breakfast, lunch and dinner, mooooore than what the other girls were eating, more than what some of the guys were eating.

BG (diving/blading khaki) commented: WHA!!! u eat a lot leh!!!
his comments to N: WHA!! ur gf eats a lot leh
N: YALOR!! last time when i just got to know her, her appetite very small one (me: *haha fake one ma!! if i had eaten like my normal self u wld have fainted then and mayb not want me liao!*)

Last weekend : GEnting
as we had to meet 2 groups of frens concurrently, we often had to take meals with diff groups in the same day. Fri was a verrrrry good example of how huge my appetite was:

Fri 530pm: ONE bowl of curry noodles (normal serving, the rest also ate something similar and tt was their last meal of the day)

Fri 720pm: ONE Kenny Rogers meal-aka-quarter chicken, 1 muffin, 3 sides. I cleaned up everything and downed a full cuppa while N opted for the 3 sides + 1 muffin meal. I even took a mini bite of his banana muffin.

The rest of the days we had buffet breakfast and lunch. For our first buffet breakfast, he forbade me from taking a 2nd serving when i wanted to go for one... So, had cereals for 2nd serving :(

Yesterday - GEYLANG dimsum

The 4 of us clocked S$70 worth of dimsum when wach plate only cost S$2.50 - 3. So thats about near 20 plates of dimsum??!!

So after the verrrrrry fulfilling dinner, we had to have our tuesday's favorite, Gelare!!! :)

So there, our tummy always have rooms for dessert!! :)

And so, if i continue eating like this after this peak, I am going to balloon past 46kg.

Gonna start exercising already!!!!
