Daisy and Donald

So this Jan, I worked 2 shifts a day - 830am to 530pm. and 530pm - 1/2am (weekdays), 7 days a week..

All so cos of the reporting deadlines in January. Most of which have been missed cos there were not enough support staff around and i seconded my asst to my holding co for 2 days. The next 2 days she was supposed to work for me, she took TWO bloody days of MC. that's the attitude of the assistants nowadays.... sigh... the manager who saw tt girl the day before her MC was skeptical about her being sick too..

so wells... what has been delayed, gets further delayed cos the poor busy senior has shit piling up from everywhere and has been working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week to try to clear the historical mess and the future shit...

luckily i still have an assistant fren in office!!! Hey girl!! i think i support your decision abt being A11 fr 20 yrs! then i can safely stay on knowing tt i ll have one RELIABLE support staff!!

anyways, i ve been feeling blessed these days :)

feel blessed for having a 'cave' of supportive seniors, for having a sweet manager who makes her midnight rounds to our 'cave' to instill encouragement, for having a neighbor who works as hard as I do (and therefore makes staying in office lesss painful and lonely), for having a sweet asst friend who offers her help (although she talks more than she works..), for having a cabful of hougang-ers to share cab with me every wee hours of the night, for having an understanding D who spent quite a lot of lonely nights after work lately and accomodating to my busy schedule...

Just today, we went to morning svc and had a warm and BIGGG breakfast to kick start the day before I went to office to mug... the svc was looooong postponed since my peak started and both of us needed some spiritual support... the bf did great to set the day of hard work... so being whiny about having to work WHOLE week and on SUNDAYS.... I begged to be given a 1/2 hour shopping time... and so... hey presto... a stressed girl is a RICH girl! I bought my CROCS (even tho i have always thought tt it ex for its standard and it was 'verrry pretty meh'?? i cant say its ugly cos i own a pair now..haha!). and i even bought a daisy duckie to pin onto the hole... forced a donald onto his too :)

so now we have a couple-ly pair of CROCS!! :) :) i was on smileys the whole day @ wrk...

a happy girl is a hardworking girl again :)

forced myself to end @ 7pm and met the D for dinner again... and for my round 2 speed shopping... managed to get a dress and went home for the night :)

so the happy girl is now at her lappy, trying to continue working as much as she can before the new week starts...

I received this quote of the day last week:
"You can't always do what you love, but you can love what you do." It's a simple message from a book FISH by Stephen C Lundin, Harry Paul and John Christensen.

Right now, as I am working, I dun feel like I am working anymore... i kinda enjoy it :) although the stress is still there... i am actually enjoying the reads of the overseas reports.. HA! crazy! but I sure am enjoying my time now :) :)

Hope to have a doggie @ the end of peak :)
