We woke up pretty cos luncheon appointment was at 1130am. So we popped over Hyundai supermarket for a quick breakfast fix. Junk lovers :)
The Mr Potato that WOWED us! Yes. We LOVE potatoes!! :)
An array of saucessss and at least 15 different kinds of flavours for the fries. Abit ex tho. Cost S$7 for that small tub of fries, which the sales lady painstakingly weighed one by one.. -____-" But was suuuuuuuuuper YUMMY! And yeah. The korean image has been heavily exaggerated by the wondergirls lah ;) This is how a typical korean looks like. But they do have the beautifullllllllest legs!
N&I were literally ogling everywhere at those legs! :D
We found more junkies before settling down at a random cafe :) Waffun - sells waffles & coffee (as shown in tt tinnny board behind us)
You see that ooooh la la display of yummy food in bottom left pic??????? *slurpzz*
Then we met up with luncheon dates.
We were given a tour around the southern bank of Seoul, in the city, after a Ginseng Chicken luncheon. Caught sight of the guards changing shift at one of the palaces/shrines/museums whilst in the car. The gate says "DA HAN MEN" - no idea what it translates into....
Drove up the hills and deep into some jungle path. The road was treacherous! Slope into the carpark was at least 40 degree inclined???? Lucky I wasnt the one behind the wheels..
We parked and were in awe of the tinnnnnny parking space. See the small gap in between each car????
And our date #1, Doc Shin, the friendly korean who brought us around :)
Right where we stepped out of car, were these! What say u some midday chillax in the hilltop?! :):):) I think it's called Samseong-ga. Doc Shin found it by chance one day when exploring the roads.. And thought it was a good place to bring friends to :) Couldnt thank him more cos such places cannot be found on the Korean tourism site!
What's behind us... Not the best view but yeah. Will do to make me remember that place :) With doc shin and doc E. And hence u know why there is no pic of that Ginseng Chicken and that coffee break :p
FAT. but tall. still makes one model-esque ;p there were some walls tt looked like China's great walls behind him! But kudos to no DSLR then, our point and shoot canon couldnt capture that.
But the man saw many godly signs on the road for the 9 days in Korea and decided he should comply with the signs. So, the Great Wall pics next time if we do return! -____-" ***I also saw many Classics on the road lor***
We hanged out for a while with icecream, beer, coffee and local teas. Thereafter spending another 1.5 hours on the 15km ride back.. Z_z korean jams are realllllly bad! Baby & I decided to hit Itaewon. Things were expensive there. A leather jacket easily cost S$300!! Not a very good place for shopping..but if u dig hard enough, u may just find some wonderful deals along those discount racks they place outside the shop :)
The double storey Cafe Nescafe!
Wanted to get out of that boring shopping place asap. but not before we settled for dinner.
The portions in Seoul is verrrrrry generous. The free sides, chilli chicken bulgogi with lettuce wraps. A meal good for two.
BUT! we overordered! and had another plate of fried chicken! It came with the WHOLE chicken (chopped) right after we were 80% done with the first dish. We knew we couldnt finish the chicken, so wanted to give half to the store owners who were having their dinner... no good lucks with the communication tho. Spent 10 min trying to say, point and signal what we intended to do. But hell yes! I was good in charade one lor! :) So the guy finally understood and went "AHHHHHH" :):)
We hit the streets of Myeongdong right after dinner for some more fruitful shopping. Laneige! :D The Myeongdong crowd is young, beautiful and bursting with energy. Streets were lined up with stalls selling pretty stuffs. There were mid class brands like F21, Zara and the sorts, all kinds of beauty brands like Missha, Laneige, Skin Food and the sorts. We immediately soaked in the wonderful atmosphere and exclaimed how much we love that place! AND we saw GARFIELD!!!! :D hurhur. Cheap thrills :):) And managed a random pic of a random chiobu :)
We walked past many people with tall icecream cones...and the cones got taller and taller as we inched forward.....
With a keen taste for icecreams.....
and keen detective eyes for clues....
we trudged on...
And TADAH!!!!
Told you the Koreans love to hang out in cafes!
