::BABY:: Do You DIY?

So we have the nation laughing at the defense statement from the woman involved in the sex scandal. But since I have labelled this post under a BABY category, the DIY I am talking about is DIY in its purest form. We have yet to upgrade ourselves to handymen from HomeFix store. ;p

I spent one whole afternoon doing these.

These cute little cartoons are all made from color papers I bought from Daiso (the amazing $2 shop!). They went onto the banner on his first month's shower.

Different talents

He is musically talented and can play most instruments. He also has the gift of replaying songs after listening to them for a couple of times, without even needing to look at the daogeis.

But he certainly is not gifted in one aspect.... ;p

I drew the tail and the crocs (disclaimer first). You can criticise all other aspects of HIS bear.

Do you see something that is wrong with the bear????!!!

God is really fair :):):)

Work in progress

A quick fixie last night after our movie date ;p
Got a pair of Draw-it-Yourself beary banks a while ago from a gift shop. It comes with a marker for you to draw on anything you want... Both of us will get to decorate our own bears.

But I had chio-er ideas for her... I finally found the time to dress her up using my own tools last night.
Bought her a pair of eyes, twisted a garland of flowers for her crown and gave her a wedding veil :)
I am still trying to think of the outfit..

A major problem though....the man's no good in craft! Wait till you see his bear! LOL!!

Rag and bone lady

I have been using quite a bit of the right brain lately. It all started with aspirations to do up my own bridal bouquet. Since Valentine’s Day was just around the corner, I got inspired to frame up some meaningful photographs for The FiancĂ©.

There were the IKEA wooden frames that The Sister got for me a while back (at least a year already!), the scraps of cloth The FiancĂ© passed to me to throw away (which I garang guni-ly kept in a small corner of my bedside) - I couldn’t make myself throw these hankies which just came out fresh from his necktie box set and a box of acrylic paints from Pinky’s secondary school days.

Oh the useful scraps!
And these days, I have been looking at antique furniture transformation! Don’t throw away that old cabinet! Or that old chair! Dont believe? Take a peek at some inspirations I found on the internet!

A $5 chair from some garage sale...
transformed into this!!!!!

The rag and bone man's job is going to be lucrative if all can use their right brains! :p

And these days, I have started seeing the ballet turning girl's brain teaser turn in BOTH directions! Way to go *pats self on back*! I am developing the side of the brain that has been sleeping for a superrrrr long time! ;p
