Baking Thursdays! The puff sheets were finally in stock! I had been religiously loitering in and out of Phoon Huat for forever!
So it was time to make some precious babies :) Stipulated baking time was 20 minutes OR until golden brown. So, I closely followed the recipe and used up 33 minutes of baking time for the babies to turn golden brown!
Alikened to a 5-yr old who has been sent to gingerbread man baking classes and who would anxiously ask his teacher repeatedly if his gingerman in the oven is ready... my little 2-yr old dog who cant speak very much showed this little kid's personality while we waited through the painfully long 33 minutes of baking time...
The ingredients!
830pm - babies pushed into the oven..
meanwhile.... it was playtime with the dog!
He hates smooches! And that's me, kissing the air above his smelly "paw paw"
835pm - 5 minutes into the baking process, the pastry already showed some chemical reaction
Murphy trottled in behind me to check out the progress too...
And he waited anticipatingly :) There's a glint in those doeful eyes!
840pm - 10 minutes into the baking process... not much difference...
I was staring intently at the rise and fall of the crust as it bloobered with the boiling chocolate larva inside...
Seeing no further progress of his yummy treat, the dog went back to his "paw paw"and plops his head down..
844pm - I walked in to check on them again...
And he followed me into the kitchen...
And waited...
And waited......
And.....
........
.........
He's quite a lazy worm sometimes...
854pm - still not quite ready yet.... see the question marks hovering all over the dog's head?
9pm - not golden brown yet...
So we waited......
and waited...............
and waited................................
And Murphy found another comfortable place to plop down...
he waited......
and waited...............
And waited.........................
AND! Fell asleep!!!!!
903pm - DONE!! And we took these babies out!
