He knows...

He knew something was wrong when popo struggled to get up of bed that fateful Sunday. He ran around the living room, knocked on the gates and barked with a bark never heard of before. The neighbour popped by to check him out.

He knew something was wrong on the morning that popo left this world in the hospital. That morning, he went to sniff at all the seats that popo and him had sat on every morning and evening during their walks.

He knew when the wake was held at the void deck for all to pay our last respects. He barked (asked) to be at the void deck too. He was at the wake for all 5 days, just like the family.

He knew when it was time to send popo on her last journey to heaven. And he knew he was only allowed to send until the exit of our carpark. He followed the troop and U-turned back willingly after that to wait for the adults to come home.

He knew when popo's tablet came home. He sat right beside her when mummy came home with it. And he has been sleeping near it in the living room these days.

He still mourns when we talk about popo. His head went down to the ground when we talked about popo last night.

He knows...

I know. It's amazing...
