Playing with your partner

They say couples who play together, stay together. If you are thinking only about the naughty naughty deed, it is not just that yo!

Here's one of my favorite games I play with the hubs - Charadium!

And the reason why I enjoy playing with him is not for the sense of accomplishment for every correct answer that I make. It is purely for the laughing pleasure I derive from each game. LOL!
Me: MONKEY!
Answer: Headphones
Him: Why you so stupid one?!

LOL!

Tis what I look in our Explorer in Orlando.
Midget much! ;p
Loved how it could easily fit all our 3 luggages + crazy shopping bagssss from the outlets!
Plus room to do a quick change of bottoms while on the road because the weather suddenly turned chilly! heh

Highlights - Entertainment on board

The best way to relax while on a trip is to let the trip do everything for you! With all the wedding, reno and house planning on hand, we decided to get by with a little help for the honeymoon, yet we didnt want to go on guided tours because those meant early mornings and hurried shoppings. Neh.

Colors on board Liberty of the Seas!

Endless entertainment!
Movie screenings, plays, performances, adult entertainment, gym, basketball courts, rock climbing, arcade, casino, clubs, pubs, swimming pools, 24-hour food supply...N&I were spoilt for choice every day! The daily progam sheets were slipped under the door for us to see what's happening where for the next day. So we would pick which show/play that we wanted to go to and decide on the R&R activity for rest of the day! We could even choose to snooze whenever we wanted! And even if we missed the dining hours at the main restaurants, the pizza and pastry cafe is always an available alternative ;) They serve really good croissants topped with an olive!

There was even a bizarre "shopping talk" scheduled in one of the afternoons.
We were joking about it being some kind of rehab talk for shophalics but the turnout was even more bizarrely good, we decided to check out what it was all about ;p Turned out to be a talk on shopping tips for the next destination we were going to embark - JAMAICA!
Apparently we were going to embark on a land of diamonds and watches! :D
So we took notes of where to go, what to say and what discounts to ask for in what shops. Like it was Uncle Henry's birthday month and we were supposed to say Happy Birthday Uncle Henry in his shop to get a free item that day!

Here's N, lootified from Uncle Henry's shop. The plastic bag is abeeeet Mustafa style though..lol! So you could guess the real heritage of the owner. The in-house bartender served a lethal mix of whisky cocktail - I suspect it's to make customers high! They offered us the "Chicken Patties" and "Beef Patties" which the ang mohs were soooooooooooo intrigued with!! We found out a while later that those patties from the brown paper bags that they were popping into their mouths were in fact.just.currypoks. :D We were too full from lunch but asian-tasting food was something we didnt want to miss after having Big American meals for the last coupla days!

Whisky-high, currypok-happy and loot-happy

Bye Batman!

About a year ago when N&I were looking for our 2nd car, we had it in mind for our wedding. That, plus the man subconsciously reminded of the fact that he was turning into the BIG 3, got us looking at the more hip-looking group of cars - the coupes. The man has always loved big and tall SUVs. But he didnt want to drive a 2-door when he becomes saggy and bald and toothless. Neither do I fancy crawling into a low ride when I become the same. Plus we wanted something suitable for a wedding. So we went ahead with our instincts and got ourselves a flashy red coupe.

Introducing, BATMAN. So named, not by us but by everyone else who had seen the car, as you can see :p

We have had a short but sweet memory with this Batman.
Although we also experienced more inconvenience with a 2-door: It gets abit tough sometimes to slide into the extremely low seat while trying to leverage on a pointy heel. Throwing things into the backseat got a bit tough as well cos we have to pull down the passenger seat each time, and repeat again when we want to take them out. Not to mention the ultimate inconvenience when we have passengers in the backseat. But it was our choice, so we continued riding in it.

And we created some fond memories <3
(professionalism by both our paid-for photog and volunteer videog =P)

Shortly after, we went on our honeymoon to Florida. And this is what HERTZ gave us!
A FORD Explorer!!
After playing around with this car for a coupla days, it kinda re-ignited the man's interest in SUVs. I found myself a better driver with taller cars too. Twas an amazing ride that took us on a smooth 4-hour from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando and back again. We found back the lost feeling for our love of having back doors, and the extra boot space.

So fast forward 2 months later, with some other considerable factors, we made a household decision. Luckily for us, timely enough to skip the 2nd annual road tax renewal for our Batman.

So yeah. Batman was a short, but sweet, 1 year stint.

Goodbye Batman.

PS. I think Murphy will have problem jumping himself onto the new car and I cant wait to see that happening on Fri evening!! :p Super evil Mummy *heh*

Year of the Water Dragon!

So the question of the year for us was
"When are you guys going to have a baby?"
Barely 2 months after our wedding, and having at least a cute little toddler or a preggy in each house we visited, what are the chances of aunties pointing their darts towards you? Apparently still quite high. o_O"

So 2 months into marriage, I think we are still tackling the harder questions in life.
That of living together trying not to kill each other with the different habits at home.
We have no problem having the toilet seat up or down, no problem with squeezing the toothpaste from top or bottom. Our major problem - different expectations of cleanliness. That, is a daily bicker topic hubs and I share in our lovenest. About a month or so ago, I had to hold my breath, overcome my fear of sticking a toilet brush into the toilet bowl (and thereafter taking it out again = YUCK) to do the chore of scrubbing off the yellow stains that the hubs had pushed far long enough for me to continue bearing the sight of and nagging at. I mean, I dont want to grow into a naggy old woman :( So I overcame my psychological fear and went ahead to do it. But I did remember to whine and complain after performing the arduous task of scrubbing the toilet bowl :(

And just yesterday, I threw away a 2-week old unused pail of water that the man had lovingly prepared and proudly exclaimed "I already prepared the water for mopping the floor! I will mop tonight after we send Murphy home!" - major scorepoint on the wife's scoreboard especially since he had also just vacuumed the floor....fast forward to the same night that we came back from sending Murphy home and then to 2 weeks later, the pail of water was left UNTOUCHED :x
Lesson learnt: dont count your chickens before they are hatched.

So yeah. We are still fighting a cleanliness battle at home, trying to accomodate to each other's habits. So as for the baby question, we tried to give those adults a satisfactory answer = signs that we are trying. So we gave positive replies like:
Soon. Next year. We ll try. Smile. Look at each other, "hor?"

And as to whether are we ready to accomodate a little one in our lives, I guess we ll have to come to terms with each other first and answer to that later!

LOVE

for my baby
Mummy will always love you darling! :)
