Bad news

My assistant called, post office hours, with the following bad newssss to end my early day:

1) A change in major shareholder post year end.

2) YE has been shifted to May and there is quarterly reporting requirements. I am now doing Dec audit and the progress is slow.

3) The Group FA is serving notice (why didn't he tell me earlier????!!!) and I need his help to give me the consol + Group cash flow and I am talking about > 30 overseas subsidiaries???

4) An Indian GAAP needs to be performed to compare how indian standards are different from our local standards.

5) My team cannot give me anything to review cos finance team is busy consolidating the mannnnnnny subsidiaries' books.

These, on top of my bad news early this morn from the payroll staff who was on maternity leave. She will only be coming back next wed and will only let us see her payroll records for ONE day.

Naturally, while telling all these to D on my train back earlier, the tears rolled. But there was no sniffling. Wonders if he caught that.

We met for a run (after a zillion years) and a quick dinner after learning tt his couple-marathon-frens have started training and are bonding their love through exercising! haha :) tts a lousy excuse. We both just need to burn off the extra fats.. I m gona be a bridesmaid in 3 weeks. *gosh*

Recently, I was asked, "so what are u going to do if you all the free time post working hours after u quit audit?"

Now, that question stunned me for a moment.

To be frank, I dont have any idea myself. But guess I ll be satisfied with just going home for dinner and hitting the sacks at 10pm. Or just catching a movie. Or even catching the 7pm and 9pm channel 8 drama serials. :)

Of cos, I have a smarter and more constructive answer than all of the above. I ll resume my jogging regime. I ll go back to my bakery books which I have so enthusiastically bought and received last year. I ll make my chocolate cherry pie, which was on the agenda last year. Apparently the cherries I bought turned bad in the fridge cos I forbade anyone from eating them as I had wanted to make a chocolate cherry pie! They were thrown away thereafter, but i suspect some of it was salvaged by the sister's tummy secretly. And the mould I bought for pie was just left lying around in the kitchen, sitting around with my other toys.

So that particular day I was asked the question, I decided to go home early, for once.

Reached home at 7+ pm and really had a good time. by just being home early.

bathed. dined. and accompanied the mum and the sis to the supermarket. popping by the cute little thing I posted pic of above :)

Sigh... dogs.... i like :(

That reminds me. Both our mummies hate dogs! Nig went to tell his mummy that I was getting a dog but he is gg to tell MY mummy that he bought the dog. Cos my mummy wun scold him. ;p

lousy scheme. cos HIS smart mummy immediately linked it to the future- that if he was ever gg to bring home a dog, he will say that shwu bot it!
HAHA!

and later on the mummy came to ask me if i really wanted to get a doggie... and threatened to slaughter it and cook for us if nig ever brings home a dog ;p

haha. ok lor! slaughter lor!! :) *at least tts what i ll say to mine cos she is TERRIFIED of dogs! and she cant even slaughter the crabs that we place on our dining table every month :)

its CNY and I m so not in the mood to work!!

Blessed

I have been counting my blessings these days :)

just this week, another new job starts. my old shit hasn end.

so I brought my assistant from Jurong after office hours to continue a 2nd shift of my previous sai... :) and this good ole assistant mugged all the way till 2am..

and today, they voluntarily went back to Jurong to work... not that we could help it.. my client was going thru manopause this year! nearly YELLED at us last fri when we went to find her at 5pm (we were told tt she was leaving at 530 pm tt day). W.T.F

things ain't going too well this Jan and Feb.

everybody is trying their best to step on my tail. ^_^

luckily I have as many blessings to count... :)

it's gona be CNY soon!

gona go for another round of speed shopping tom to get the shoes and the bag... and mayb some maintenance...
