thinking thoughts on taxi

i had this morbid thought running through the mind this morning as the taxi whizzed forward at 100km/hr, that the nuts will loosen and the wheels of will fly off the sides, leaving the body of the moving taxi slamming onto the road and screeching to a stop, producing sparks as it scraped the surface of the road.

saddist huh? and that s hw almost 10% of our dinner conversation ended last nite. in death/danger/deteriorating bodies. the other 30% went to jokes. and the rest? a heapful of rubbish n nonsense n laughter! :)

now that the one frm the states is back, we hav a coupla events lined up to fully maximise the 2-3 week stay in SG. Some time ago, W had commented that i lead a v happening life. Well, truth is... actually, i went home everyday last week aft wrk except for tues! HAPPENING?? u say?

On an aching body

Saturday began as early as 740am for me :) i LOVE mornings! cos they allow me to accomplish more during the day! :)

woke up, made a call and the nex thing i knew, i was flying around the house and boarded the cab by 805am!

event of the day was....

WAKEBOARDING~~!! :)

i m glad i was asked along...cos i realli had wanted to go... n it got me reeeeal excited... phonemate cld even hear the excitement in my voice... *winkz*

we spent 4 hrs @ sea, with multiple attempts at trying to stand on the wakeboard. the falls were hard.. but it made the success even sweeter :)
falling forward was a joke. cos we had to turn the body over again, and the buoyancy of the water acting against every ounce of strength to the flip the body over. The heavy weight of the wakeboard at the feet, made it even harder. We looked struggling overturned turtles! :D

the eventful morning resulted in a bodyful of achess and i had pink do a muscle rub massage on my legs last night... ended up sleeping w 2 verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry HOT legs! (pun intent? heez) they felt like they were on fire! wrapped a towel over them n covered w a blanket... bt stil felt the blaze... *regret* it was already 11pm n i had to zzz cos there was a run this morning...

but which didn materialise cos it rained when we were up by 5+ am.. :(

after excitedly making transport arrangement the night before and planning to do breakfast with the khakis, and we din make it for the run! :(

Comparison 2006 and 2007 birthday



A year ago, I had her...


She delivered the bouquet and oreo cheesecake and colluded with D to give a surprise birthday celebration @ our chalet... she said, "nex yr nomore cake delivery from me alr..."


and i burst into tears on tt special day...

This year, she is in the states having training...i miss u dear...glad tt u ve found tt special someone :) :) remember to come back ya? cya next birthday!

A year ago, few days after my birthday, we checked out from the chalet and went to watch Superman @ the science centre...

there was a weighing machine there... and i was 44.18kg *proudly show this picture ot the whole world* :)

this year, i do not dare to show the scale to u...

A year ago, i seemed to hav more presents...this year.... see below...
thats all to date!! but they are frm my 'new' frens.. hoho.. still haven received at least 4 presents :) whew! i STILL have frens!!

some of whom i only meet twice a year, during our birthdays! frens go as u grow up... so i do treasure those whom i STIL do meet, even if it s juz tt 2 times a year...

didn i already say 'count your blessingsss'? :) At least we still see each other :)

and i thought my monkey fren wld LOVE to see this, given her LOVE for bananas and monkey and a hamper load of banana-related presents we got for her 21st! :)

BBQ 17 July 2007

Since dia, cyn n I were COINCIDENTALLY on leave this whole week, we decided to do a picnic... but w a picnic, we d hav to do without ppl we heart who d b @ wrk... so it became a BBQ instead.. :)

a VERRRRY impromptu decision was made in the late afternoon of Monday (16th July) and I immediately went to the AXS @ hg mall to make a booking for the 17th!! :) talk abt impromptu! I LOVE! :)

so there goes! pit booked, ppl invited... tues morning was spent supermarketing n marinating n baking! had the help of pa ma the dearies who went to bag home all the groceries, dia who had to buy what i left out, partner who went realty park to get the satays, serO who made a liquidy mango pudding and for ferrying some stuffs over , nig for ferrying the goodies over :) thks all for yr help! and for those who simply turned up w their lovely company! :)

2nd cream puff attempt.. the last batch din puff up, too much 'wet' ingredients. This time round, i reduced the egg by 1/3. But it stil din puff up... the men gave v good suggestions indeed... 'mayb u shd add the thing tt will make the puff explode'

"EXPLODE"!!! *rofl*

in case u din geddit, it means BAKING AGENT...

MEN... they hav the ideas, but juz dunno hw to put it across.. haha

we live in bliss everyday...count the blessings :) they could be the simplest things in life, like a gelato treat, a card, an sms, a goodnight greeting, a surprise cake after the lights got turned off, the intent to bring ur frens to Dampsey road to share the blissful place w them...thksD...thks everybody who brought bliss to my life..i had a good week with more to come :)

the snapshot while cruising along singapore river...this ferris wheel has been FULLY booked all the way till May 08. It's gona be the LARGEST wheel on the globe.. bt not for long.. bcos China is also building their own ferris wheel, and it's gg 2b 5m taller than ours.

BUT how else to compare with us??! ours offer a fantastic air view of the WHOLE country, and malaysia and indonesia!!! :)

Brought to see merly and learnt tt this thing cost the govt S$7MILLION to move to the current location... where do u think taxpayers' money go to???

Was left with 2 free-easy hours... so combed suntec with the family.. and found THESE!!! :)

being the greedy sisters we are...ok...only pink n I la... we decided to join the queue... 1 hr this time round... they were GONE when i woke up this morn... n i only had ONE miserable piece! :(

choco cream puffs made last monday.. bot the piping bags and nozzles to make these... batter was too fluidy, so din manage to pump out the star from the star nozzle :)
